Primary school is a very important part in education because it lays a foundation for secondary education. We provide high standard academics with Cambridge curricula incorporated with other necessary educational materials that suit the educational environment in Sri Lanka and support our primary learners to succeed. Further, we prize in our extracurricular activities such as dance classes, choir classes, swimming activities, physical education, training in IMSS, and other fun events such as spelling bees and mathematic competitions, which makes learning enjoyable and rewarding.
We incorporate both traditional and innovative learning style for our young learners. The current exam system still dwells on the traditional style, but students learn more effectively through discussions, activities, and projects rather than through just lectures. Our goal is to promote learning by giving children something to do as to demand thinking where learning naturally results (Dewey). Our teachers do well to incorporate both traditional and ‘beyond learning’ methodology to promote children’s education and discipline within the classrooms. Our students will naturally gain competency in their literacy and numeracy skills, and in various subjects as we promote learning through creating healthy academic competitions and activities such as ‘Fun with Math’, ‘Spelling Bees’, ‘Science Exhibitions’, etc.
